Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University concludes a course on injection methods and treatment administration

The Department of Community Health Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies/Kufa, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, concluded the scientific course entitled Methods of Injection and Administration of Treatment, which lasted for three days, with a group of the department’s teachers taking turns giving lectures.
The course aimed to introduce the different types of injection methods, such as injections under and between layers of the skin and others, and to understand their use in a simple way.

The course dealt with the demonstration of various injection methods such as subcutaneous injection, between the layers of the skin, intramuscular and intravenous injection, and understanding their uses and importance in treatment. How to conduct an allergy test, give local anesthesia, the procedures that must be done before the injection such as preparing tools, washing hands, wearing paws and how to sterilize the area to be injected before doing the injection.
The session came up with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are Monitor the side effects of a person when giving medication, choose appropriate methods of giving treatment based on the type of medication and medical condition.
