Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organizes a symposium on illegal immigration

The legal department at the Faculty of Health and medical technologies/Kufa, one of the formations of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a scientific symposium on illegal migration, which is considered a global challenge that requires coordination between countries to effectively confront it.
The seminar aims to define illegal migration, and review its causes such as poverty, wars, and political persecution, which pushes migrants to seek better opportunities.
Its historical rooting was also discussed as a complex historical phenomenon, related to the illegal transfer of individuals between states. Rooted in economic, political and social crises, illegal immigrants are often considered to be subject to discrimination and legal sanctions such as deportation. Their forms range from unauthorized entry to the use of forged documents or overstaying visas
