Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organizes a cultural symposium entitled Ways to confront extremist religious movements

Under the patronage and supervision of Professor Dr. Angam Jassim Al-Ramahi, dean of the college .The Library Division, in cooperation with the Department of anesthesia techniques at the Faculty of Health and medical technologies/Kufa, held a cultural seminar entitled (ways to confront extremist religious movements), the seminar lecture was delivered by Dr. Hazem Mohammed al-Husseini،
During the seminar, three themes were discussed, the first axis was to clarify the importance of the seminar, by explaining how the owners of these movements exert a bad influence on the members of society, sabotage their beliefs, and try to disengage them from religious authorities and religious institutions, in addition to tearing the social fabric by partisanship and ditching.
The second topic was discussed: historical rooting, which included the definition of the most important extremist religious movements in Iraq and the reasons for their spread in our environment in recent times.
As for the third axis, he talked about the possible ways through which to combat and confront mentally and Quranically deviant religious movements،
Dr. Al-Ramahi recommended that students should be made aware of the danger of these extremist movements, and the need to arm themselves with science and knowledge to face them, because they are one of the most security and social challenges, especially in light of their growing nowadays, and therefore it has become necessary to address them through education, awareness, advice and guidance.
