– The Faculty of Health and medical technologies/ Kufa was established in 2011 with two scientific departments, the Department of (community health technologies) and the Department of (pathological analysis techniques), which was later renamed” to the Department of (medical laboratory techniques), and despite the young age of the faculty, it has achieved great breakthroughs in the scientific career and at the graduate and initial studies level, where the Department of (anesthesia techniques) was introduced for the year 2018-2019 for morning study and evening study in the same department for the academic year 2020-2021, in addition to the development of two programs (master and PhD) for pathological analyzes and master in community health.
The college is registered for the establishment of the Department of techniques (eye examination) and the Department of (medical rehabilitation and physiotherapy techniques) for the academic year 2023-2024 and for the morning and evening studies, which represents a qualitative leap in the field of technical health education at the level of the geographical area of the Middle Euphrates region .The faculty strives to ” develop new scientific departments that meet the needs of society and the labor market of medical cadres, such as the Department of (Radiology techniques), the Department of (cosmetic techniques) and the Department of (dental industry techniques) at the level of preliminary studies, and work on the development of doctoral study within the Department of community health techniques. And the study of the master in anesthesiology to join the rest of the graduate programs in the College, in order for the college to be a” scientific” river that feeds scientific and academic institutions and the labor market, and contributes to raising the intellectual level of society.
The college has attracted many teaching and professional cadres from Najaf governorate and abroad, and the college paid “special attention” to the approved university quality and performance standards, both at the Arab and international levels, in terms of structures and human, material, scientific, technical, health and environmental requirements, and approving the vision, mission and goals of the college according to the most prominent standards adopted in the framework of its current and future work and keenness to open channels of communication and communication with society, universities and relevant regional and international institutions. The development was not limited to the scientific aspect of the college only, but also extended to the administrative and organizational aspects by completing most of the departments, divisions and administrative units in order to ensure a high flow of work in a new college, adopting electronic governance in the joints of the Administrative College, and working on the development of infrastructure through the establishment of classrooms and specialized model laboratories with high competencies in obtaining results and providing green spaces to accommodate the growing number of students and at the same time contribute to providing a university environment supportive of sustainable development .
