Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University holds a symposium entitled Family and Community Leadership from an Islamic Perspective.

In an effort to preserve the family, as it is the basic building block in building a cohesive society, which with its disintegration loses its cohesion and moral framework, the Women’s Affairs Division was established at the College of Health and Medical Technologies/Kufa, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.

Within the division’s annual plan, a scientific symposium on family and community leadership from an Islamic perspective.
The symposium aimed to shed light on the concept of leadership in Islam, how it pays special attention to the family, the basic characteristics that must be present in those who lead it, and what are the duties and rights of parents and children within the message of rights of Imam Zayn al-Abidin, peace be upon him.

The symposium touched on the fact that leading the family and crossing it to the shore of safety, in light of the current temptations, and at all levels, is a huge task that requires the combined efforts of fathers and mothers, and for them to realize that they are more capable and influential than others in saving their children and families from ignorance and corruption.

The symposium concluded with the importance of spreading religious awareness in the family, and that fathers and mothers must be good role models for their families, help them, and lay the foundations of a real family that works to consolidate good citizenship.
