About the Department
The Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Department is a vital department in healthcare and educational institutions. It specializes in rehabilitating patients and restoring their motor and physical functions after injuries or diseases affecting the neuromuscular system. This department focuses on providing non-drug therapeutic services aimed at improving quality of life and enhancing the ability to perform daily activities.
Vision
Training students on how to diagnose injuries and the type of illness. Developing a special rehabilitation and treatment program in cooperation with a specialist physician to assist in recovery. Using all electrical and mechanical devices and therapeutic exercises to treat the injured.
Message
Graduating qualified and specialized students in the field of physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy, who contribute to conducting examinations and research in this specialty, and implementing community awareness programs.
Aims
The department seeks to achieve the following objectives:
1. Graduate a specialized cadre in physical therapy, medical rehabilitation, and related techniques to support governmental and private healthcare institutions with the qualified personnel they need in their field.
2. Adopt modern scientific curricula to keep pace with scientific developments in the field.
3. Provide therapeutic, preventive, and advisory services to patients.
4. Hold periodic seminars and meetings in the field of specialization and exchange information with relevant entities inside and outside Iraq.
