The Department of physiotherapy techniques was established in the academic year 2023-2024.
The Vision
– Training students on how to diagnose the injury and the type of disease, developing a special rehabilitation treatment program in cooperation with the specialized doctor to help recovery . – The use of all electrical and mechanical devices and therapeutic exercises to treat the injured

Graduation of qualified students and specialists in the field of physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy who contribute to conducting tests and conducting research in this specialty and implementing a community awareness program.

The Goals
The Department pursues the following objectives:-

- . Graduation of a specialized cadre of physiotherapy, medical rehabilitation and its techniques to provide government and private health institutions with the qualifications they need in the field of specialization. –
- Adopting modern scientific approaches to keep pace with the scientific development in the field of specialization . –
- Providing therapeutic, preventive and consulting services to the injured –
- . Holding periodic seminars and meetings in the field of competence and exchanging information with the relevant authorities inside and outside Iraq .

- – After the graduate is granted a bachelor’s degree as a technologist specializing in physiotherapy techniques and medical rehabilitation, he is allowed to apply what he learned and trained during his studies from the steps of physiotherapy to all parts of the body, including joints, bones, muscles, post-operative rehabilitation and various injuries
- Operation of physiotherapy devices of all kinds and care for them
- The physiotherapist participates in the preparation of a treatment program for the injured or patient in cooperation with the specialized doctor
Duration of study and certificate
– The study period is four academic years, including practical training in specialized government hospitals and physiotherapy centers, after which The Bachelor’s degree is granted a specialization in physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation and allows the graduate to complete his studies to obtain a master’s degree and doctorate inside or outside Iraq
